Patient Presented 24 hours after onset of sudden severe abdominal pain. Oninvestigations was found to have a duodenal ulcer perforation. Dr Prabal Roy carried out a laparoscopic repair successfully. The patient had a quick and uneventful recovery.

Laparoscopic Splenectomy

Spleen is an important organ helping in immunity and control of infections. However, occasionally it needs to be removed due to its involvemnet in disease process. This patient has a condition leading to destruction of platelets in the spleen called 'Idiopathc Thrombocytopenic Perpura'. Laparoscopic removal of spleen was curative in this patient.
